According to the LA Times:
The Whittier house where Nadya Suleman, the mother of octuplets, and her six other children have been living with her parents is in pre-foreclosure, according to records.
The three-bedroom, two-bath house is owned by Angela Suleman, the children’s grandmother. A default notice was filed Feb. 9 for a loan that is $23,224 past due. The notice lists a projected sale date of June 9, according to the website foreclosureradar.com.
Hey folks, aren’t you happy that your tax money goes to pay for irresponsible people like this lady?
And if you are not already mad, take a look at this report by Fox News:
LOS ANGELES — The Southern California mother of octuplets receives $490 a month in food stamps and three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal assistance, her publicist confirmed Monday evening.
In an interview that aired Monday, Suleman told NBC “Today” show anchor Ann Curry that she does not receive welfare.

Nadya’s mother was quoted as saying: “I think love is the main thing here. When they know they’re loved, things will work out.”
Love is the main thing?!?!?!
Was it love that prompted Nadya to seek more children when she couldn’t care financially for the ones she has, thus putting them at more risk for proper support?
Was it love that caused her to decide to put her life in jeopardy by not choosing elective removal of some of the embryos, thus highly increasing the odds that her existing children would be left motherless?
Was it love that made her decide to burden her parents with helping to shoulder the physical and financial care of 8 more children in addition to the ones she already has?
I could go on and on with questions, but maybe the real discussion here is selfless versus selfish love?
Clearly all 14 of these children are the true victims of her brand of “love”. Despite the huge outcry of rage we do need to remember that in the end they don’t deserve to end up victims of her outrageous selfish decisions.
So the question is do we help her to help her kids? (Do we believe the money will be spent on them and not more plastic surgery or on her crazy ideas?)
Do we believe that if the state took the children anyone in their right mind would or could take them all to keep the siblings together?
Do we believe that her behaviors reflect someone who is capable of properly parenting these 14 children?
Questions…so many questions. One thing seems clear to me. Obtaining the answers is important for the sake of these kids. Having children services do some in-depth investigations seems reasonable and necessary. There are many kinds of abuse besides the ones that seem obvious (e.g. physical or sexual) - not providing proper housing, food, medical care, emotional care, education, etc.
So many of us are so angry at Nadya Suleman that I worry we will forget the innocent here - 14 precious little souls.

Everything is wrong with this picture. At the highest level, the doctors who administered the invitrio should be held accountable for these children, from both a moral and financial standpoint. Suleman clearly does not have a right mind, and should have been diagnosed as being incapable of raising even one child, with no clear source of income and a disability preventing her from seeking employment. Sadly, even if with all the media attention she strikes a lucrative media contract, I’m certain she would use her earnings for self-interests and not for the welfare of her brood.

It is outrageous that these people with dozens of children force others to pay for their children. 50% of my property tax goes towards the school system where as I never had a child. I have to work full one month for free to support these irresponsible people’s children. Why should I do that? I can take home only 11 months salary and my 12th month’s salary goes entirely towards these foster-children that I don’t want.
I have to keep paying that $3000 that goes just to the school system through tax even if I lose my job and can’t pay for my own food. If I can’t pay for those irresponsible people’s children’s through tax I will lose my house! This is inhuman and gross injustice to everybody else. These people are the cruelest and most selfish of all. They don’t think about others. They think only about their pleasure. Can somebody tell me why are we punished to slavery for the irresponsible behavior of people like this Suleiman woman? I don’t want to pay for her pleasure. Government, please don’t force me to slave for one full month without any pay.
I have absolutely no problem in paying for those parents (children) who have two kids, through taxes.
